Seeing In A New Way
Do you need new perspective?
There have been many times, too many to count, when I needed a fresh perspective. Still do. Every week. Everyday.
It’s amazing how a shift in perspective can bring peace.
Here’s an entry from my journal, July of 2012.
It’s all about seeing in a new way.
How the way I was living in one area of my life could be carried over
to another area of life that I was struggling in.
Thoughts About Painting
I was so tired and went through a period of depression around the time Sarah came along.
So for around 4 years clutter built and habits were lost and our life became chaotic.
Over the first year since Rachel has arrived I have been so touched and changed by Jesus. I am inspired and I’m slowly sorting and getting rid of our ‘chaotic mess’.
As I was sitting here looking at a painting that I’ve started, I was recognizing the parallels of painting and my mess.
I’m on the second layer of my painting. I am not
frustrated, discouraged, rushed, angry or impatient with this stage.
I am excited by the progress and eagerly anticipating the transformation that the next layer will bring.
I am hopeful and dreaming about the finished painting.
I realized I can look at my mess with this same process.
I may only be on the second layer but I can be excited, hopeful and free to enjoy the process!
In this perspective of ‘my mess’ I find contentment.
In the past I have only been wishing the time and stuff away.
I need a cleaner house but God has truly been growing me during this process of de-cluttering.
I praise Your Name, I give You the glory for You are glorious.
Amazing, Beautiful, Intense, Satisfying, Peace, Joy and Love!
My heart is Yours,
Karen
There are so many layers to everything we do in life.
My big take away is to enjoy the journey!
In My Journal Was This Definition Of Content.
Content-An inner sufficiency and satisfaction found through the depth of one’s own life, with God, independent of our surrounding.
This was huge for me.
In spite of life’s circumstances I found contentment in Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior.
I hope my thoughts about painting and the parallels made sense to you and are encouraging to you wherever you are in your journey.
God’s Love Is Absolutely Transforming!
May He bless you daily and draw you to Himself.
