Crazy Clutter Chaos!

5 Reasons For Becoming The Best Version Of Myself
My Silly Girls L to R-Grace, Naomi, Faith, Sarah and Rachel

Are you buried in piles of paper, emails, toys, clothes, bags and other stuff?

Believe me I can feel your pain.

After a hard season in my life I began to clean out and purge.

We were absolutely over run with stuff.

There seemed to be a continual flow into our house.

For quite a while I would fill the back of our Yukon each week and haul all that stuff to the thrift store.

I don’t remember how many weeks in a row I did that to get rid of that first layer.

It Was Out Of Control

I didn’t want other people to see our house because everyone else seemed to have it all together.

There was a sigh of relief when I realized that I’m not alone.

In conversations with other moms they said they struggle with getting everything done and keeping it all together too.

So if you’re feeling the same way as I did, then please know that you’re not alone.

We can be our own group of “Messy Houses Anonymous”.

(Only for a short while because of course we are recovering)   😉

There’s No Condemnation Here

During some mindset training I discovered the thoughts that were behind the results I was producing.

Shifting my mindset and de-cluttering my house is an ongoing journey that I’m still working on today.

Each step is an improvement.

I choose to celebrate my wins.

If you have critics, I would like to encourage you to NOT get hung up on what others think of you, or the state of your house, car, or office.

What They Think Is Irrelevant

Another tip…

Remember that each and every person is human and they have a “mess” to clean up too.

Even if it’s not as obvious as a messy house, it’s still there.

It could be relationships, perfectionism, or any number of things.

Point being, don’t let your critics worry you for even a moment.

It’s not worth your time.

Here’s One Resource That Has Helped Me

It’s the book, Sink Reflections by Marla Cilley aka The Flylady and her website.

She has a great system for putting a house in order.

I also love her philosophy that you can do anything for 15 minutes.

There were times I was struggling so much that all I could manage was 5 minutes. And that was okay! Every step is progress and it’s important to celebrate your wins.

My sister has been incredible over the years in helping me create systems, organize, and design plans on how to incorporate my kids in helping.

If you have a great organizer in your family or friends that you can trust your heart with, enlist their help. It’s worth it!

A Great Find

Recently I found a great program titled Learn Do Become.

Click here to watch her free webinar to see if it’s something that would be helpful for you.

I love her way of organizing and getting though her emails quickly.

My email inbox was overloaded before I learned her system.

How about yours?

If yours is overloaded too, you’re going to like her email organizing tips.

You’ll be able to keep your inbox empty!

What? Empty?

I can imagine you have the same shocked look on your face that I did!

My inbox was never empty…in fact it used to be well over 1,000 emails the majority of the time.

That’s just the beginning of how April can help you in Learn Do Become.

We CAN Learn, Do and Become Who We Want To Be

It is possible, even though at times it doesn’t feel that way.

One of the ways I’m becoming the best version of myself is to create the space around me that gives me the freedom to pursue the things I love to do.

I’m in the midst of this journey.

I hope this helps you in your journey.

Remember to celebrate your wins.

Every bit of progress counts.

Keep visualizing how you’d like your space to look.

With small increments of progress you’ll move forward and your dream space will become your reality!

You’ve got this!

Great encouragement because we all have messes. Love the small increments of progress applied to any mess, soon resolved. Thanks once again for your wisdom.
